A smartwatch under ₹6,000 usually means a plastic body and a feature list copied from ten other brands. Noise is trying something different with the ALT series, and the watch is now tracked below its launch price. Here is what the maker says you get, and who it suits.
If you are shopping for a smartwatch around the ₹5,000 mark, the usual trade is looks against features. Noise launched its ALT series in India in late May 2026 to argue you can have a watch that looks considered and still carries the usual health and GPS basics. The name stands for "Alternative to Autopilot", and the pitch is aimed at younger buyers who want something that feels personal rather than one more identical rectangle.
The ALT Watch 1 is the headline product. It has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, which matters if you actually use the watch outdoors in an Indian afternoon. The frame is aluminium, there is a rotating crown, and it comes in six colours named Chosen Orange, Blue, Black, Beige, a lighter Blue and Green. Noise claims up to 14 days of battery life, which is a company figure and will shrink with GPS use and a bright screen. The watch also won a Red Dot Design Award for 2026, according to the launch coverage.
On the health side it tracks heart rate, SpO2, sleep and stress, has built-in GPS, and works with Strava, Google Fit and Apple Health. That last part is useful: your runs are not locked inside one app.
The AI layer is Noise AI. Per the launch report, it covers AI transcription, AI-powered health insights and an AI Playground where you create personalised watch faces. Be realistic here. These are software features tied to the Noise app, so think of them as conveniences, such as a watch face made from a prompt or a plain-language read of your sleep and stress numbers, rather than a replacement for a doctor or a serious sports watch.
Pricing is where it gets interesting for Indian buyers. The launch price was ₹5,999, with a pre-book price of ₹4,999 through the Noise site, Amazon.in and Flipkart, and national sales from 16 June. Noise Alt Watch 1 is currently tracked on Startbook at ₹5,499 against an MRP of ₹6,999, sold on the official Noise store with Indian warranty and a GST invoice. That is about ₹500 under the launch price, though not as low as the pre-book offer.
Who should buy it: someone who wants a good-looking, bright-screen daily watch with GPS and basic health tracking, and who is curious about the AI watch face and insight features. Who should skip it: anyone who needs proven sports accuracy, long-term durability data or third-party reviews, because this report is launch coverage and independent long-term testing was not part of what was checked. If that matters, wait for hands-on reviews before paying.
